Dolce & Gabbana, the Italian fashion duo, has recently unveiled the fourth collection under its high-end couture line Alta Moda.

Inspired from the famous flower paintings of Van Gogh, Manet and Renoir, the 65-piece Spring/Summer 2014 range aims to re-interpret grandeur, elegance and romanticism.

Decorated with hand-crafted 3-D flowers, beads and ruffles, the collection is based in shades of pastel pink, rich fuchsia, soft beige, cornflower blue and bold black.

The jewel encrusted pieces include cocoon and cape shaped coats, off-the-shoulder midi-length dresses, silk gowns with bell sleeves, billowing, floor skimming tulle ballgowns enhanced with roses, sweeping pyjama coat-dresses with crystal-embedded burgundy piping, narrow-waist lace skirts and jewel-buttoned jackets.

According to vogue.co.uk, each and every Alta Moda creation is a one-off piece and it is being sold to clients strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Based in Milan, the luxury label Dolce & Gabbana was founded in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
