American fashion label DKNY has unveiled it’s first-ever region specific Ramadan collection, targeting the wealthy Muslim population in Gulf countries.

The brand, which has recently launched a Middle East website, has released a summer 2014 capsule line along with a coordinating campaign.

Incorporated with loose-fit modest silhouettes, the 12-piece range features a printed pants and blouse combo, a side slit long skirt, an orange long sleeve maxi dress and sweeping dresses in monochrome, navy and soft jewel tones.

The accompanying advertisement of the DKNY Ramadan collection, featuring Kuwaiti fashion editor Yalda Golsharifi and Dubai-based fashion designer Tamara Al-Gabbani, has been shot in Dubai by Emirati photographer Saeed Al Khalifa.

The DKNY website describes the line: “The temperature is rising this summer, and we’re feeling haute. The sizzle heightens with pieces inspired by cosmopolitan glam and pulled together with a fresh, festive spirit.”

Founded in 1989, the New York-based fashion label DKNY is an affordable fast fashion diffusion range owned by the Parsons’ alumnus Donna Karan alongside her existing main line Donna Karan New York.
