The English fashion consultant Gok Wan harked back to the era of old vintage Hollywood glamour for his latest fashion collection for the UK-based supermarket chain Sainsbury’s apparel label TU.

Drawing inspiration from the evergreen on-screen divas like Veronica Lake, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, the 42-year-old created a luxe 32-piece winter-2014 range of gorgeous eveningwear, elegant basics and sophisticated officewear.

Available in sizes 8 to 22, the figure flattering line includes a 1950’s inspired sleek nipped in waist metallic party frock, an origami Butterfly print fit and flare dress, a fluttery bright red pussybow neckline blouse and a pair of slick black trousers.

The festive clothing collection also includes an embellished baroque jumper and a luxurious pink tweed coat with a faux fur collar and a bright pink belt.

Launched in 2004, TU is a contemporary clothing brand meant for both children and adults. The label is owned by the London-based chain Sainsbury, which was founded in 1869 and is the third largest chain of supermarkets in the UK.

Born in Leicester, United Kingdom, Wan is a well-known author and television presenter in the country. (PB)
