The English model and socialite Poppy Delevingne has donned the cap of a designer for the US-based swimwear label Solid & Striped.

The 28-year-old has created her first-ever line of bikinis, which is available for sale exclusively at the online luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter, inspired from American movies like True Romance, Miami Vice and television series Saved by the Bell.

Based in a palette of pink, blue and white colours, the resort 2015 line, which is infused with elements replicating the designer’s styles, features a flamingo-printed bandeau top, a one-piece swimsuit and a triangle bikini.

A blog on the beachwear specialist’s website solidandstriped.com introduces the collection as- “We are very excited to announce our Resort '15 collaboration with Poppy Delevingne via Style.com! Debuting Friday on Net-a-Porter is Delevingne’s foray into vacation-wear with Solid & Striped. Three styles—a maillot, bandeau, and bikini in pink, blue and white, white, and flamingo print—are meant to replicate “Poppy’s lifestyle.”

Launched in 2012, based in New York City, Solid & Striped is known for its exquisite European and Japanese fabrics crafted chic beachwear and loungewear pieces.

Founded in 2000, Net-a-Porter specializes in a range of latest women’s designer clothing and accessories from over 350 international labels.

Sister of the famous English fashion model-cum-actress Cara Delevingne, Poppy was the face of the Louis Vuitton’s summer 2012 collection. She is also the Young Ambassador for the British Fashion Council and a Chanel brand ambassador. (PB)
