Creative clothing enters domestic market

Flourishing Indian economy, appearance of structured retail, awareness about fashion and changing shopping pattern have increased the demand for branded clothes among all age groups.

Observing this, the Creative Group, which mainly exports garments to the overseas countries like US and Europe, has planned to capture the domestic market by introducing multiple clothing brands.

In November 2006, the company has introduced its first brand, 109F, which is a women's wear brand and plans to open 35 stores with in three years.

The company has plans to introduce different ranges of menswear and ladieswear brands which will target different income groups.

The Creative Group is also planning to rope in a leading Bollywood actor to launch a new fashion clothing brand. To design their couture brand the company has tied up with Ahmedabad based fashion designer duo, Rahul Mishra and Samar Firdos.

The group anticipates that in the domestic front the company sales would constitute 20 percent in the next four years.

The Group has already made its presence felt in the domestic market with its Portico brand in home furnishing segment.
