Italian fashion giant Morzotto SpA, is in discussions with Givo India to raise its stake holding of 14.91 percent.
Givo is licensed to produce and distribute Morzotto range in India.
The two companies already have financial and technical partnership, hence current talks will further strengthen their relations.
After the abolition of the Multi Fibre Arrangement (MFA), many opportunities have opened up for Indian textile industry.
Givo's brands include Knightsbridge, Givo Donna, Debonair and Givo Aristocrat that produce products like suits, trousers, women'swear, men'swear , formals, shirts, t-shirts and other casuals.
Morzotto owns and services internationally renowned brands such as Studio 000.1 by Gianfranco Ferre, Principe, Hugo Boss, Accento and Marlboro Classics.
