HKJMA announces 2006 International JDI Competition

Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers' Association (HKJMA) organizes the 2006 International JDI Competition. The Competition consists of 2 integral parts: Jewelry Design Competition and Jewelry Design Creativity & Technology Conference, with the aims of promoting design excellence in culturally diverse jewelry markets and increasing public awareness towards the identity of jewelry industry in global economy.

It's probably the Most Innovative with Highest Cash Prize (over US$ 45,000) jewelry design competition in the world. Touring exhibitions will also be organized for winning designs, which will definitely inspire designers, attract media attention and entice consumers around the world.

An elite panel of judges hailed from the international creative will assess the entries of the Jewelry Design Competition and artistic arena included the most prominent and influential figures.

They are Prof. Li Dang-qi, Dean of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China; Mr. Edward Cheung, Chairman of HKJMA 2005 - 2007; Mrs. Arlette E. Emch, CEO of DYB, Léon Hatot and Breguet Jewelry, Member of the Board of SWATCH Group; Mrs. Ella Gafter, Ms. Talila Gafter, Ellagem Inc., New York, US; Mrs. María Eugenia Girón, CEO, Carrera y Carrera, Spain; Mr. Pinky Lai, Design Manager of Style Porsche, Chief Exterior Designer of Boxster/Cayman; Ms. Kai-yin Lo, Jewelry and Accessories Designer, Yin Expressions Ltd.; Author, Cultural Consultant; Mr. Jean-François Michaud, Michaud & Co., Switzerland and Mr. Takahiko Mizuno, Director, Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry, Japan.
