Kellwood's Phat Fashions division announced the results of the "Design our T-shirt Contest" it sponsored to support Fashion Delivers Charitable Foundation Inc., according to Bernt Ullmann, president of Phat Fashions.
The winner, Khyjuan Mansker of Oklahoma City, will receive a number of these t-shirts and unlimited bragging rights as he sees his design on Phat Farm's t-shirts sold on Phat Farm's website, in their flagship store and at future Fashion Delivers events.
"Congratulations to Khyjuan. Out of all the creative entries we reviewed, Khyjuan's design best captured the essence of unity, which reflects the mission of Fashion Delivers," said Russell Simmons, chief executive officer of Phat Farm.
"We received entries from all across the US! This is proof that Fashion Delivers got our message out there. Now with this new design, people will have an image to associate with Fashion Delivers' message. We couldn't have done this without Phat Farm's support," stated Allan Ellinger.
The competition closed on April 28, 2006 and judged by three professionals from the fashion industry, Russell Simmons, CEO of Phat Farm, Bernt Ullmann, President of Phat Fashions and Allan Ellinger, Chairman of Fashion Delivers and Senior Partner of MMG Inc.
"The competition was an exciting opportunity for designers to showcase their artistic ideas and designs. All of the entries submitted were extremely professional and showed a great deal of creativity and hard work which made our job as judges more difficult," said Ullmann.
