American Eagle Outfitters Inc completed the purchase of an existing building and adjacent land in Pittsburgh's SouthSide Works urban redevelopment district, which will become the Company's new corporate headquarters. The purchase price, before additional construction and interior finishing costs, was approximately $22 million.

The interior of the 186,000 square foot building at 77 Hot Metal Street will be designed for American Eagle's needs, with occupancy expected to begin in Spring 2007. The new corporate headquarters features an attractive riverfront location, city views, a walking trail and a vibrant urban neighborhood with convenient restaurants and shops. American Eagle's existing offices in Warrendale will be maintained and expanded for use as a data, distribution and logistics center.

"The SouthSide Works site will be a great contribution to the energy and excitement of the American Eagle brand," said Company CEO Jim O'Donnell. "Our new headquarters, together with our existing Warrendale location, will also allow us to provide the best possible work environment for our associates and support our continued growth and expansion."

American Eagle Outfitters is a leading retailer that designs, markets and sells its own brand of laidback, current clothing targeting 15 to 25 year-olds, providing high-quality merchandise at affordable prices. AE's original collection includes standards like jeans and graphic Ts as well as essentials like accessories, outerwear, footwear, basics and swimwear.
