Apparel retailer Limited Brands June comp store sales up 3%

World's best fashion brands Limited Brands reported a comparable store sales increase of 3 percent for the five weeks ended July 1, 2006 compared to the five weeks ended July 2, 2005. Net sales increased 5 percent to $1.078 billion compared to net sales of $1.022 billion last year.
The Company reported a comparable store sales increase of 5 percent for the twenty-two weeks ended July 1, 2006. Net sales increased 6 percent to $3.874 billion compared total net sales of $3.670 billion last year.
Limited Brands, through Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, C.O. Bigelow, Express, Limited Stores, White Barn Candle Co. and Henri Bendel, presently operates 3,549 specialty stores.
