The stars will light up the Vegas sky as one of the world's most compelling musical artists, Moby, takes the stage for Chow at TAO, MAGIC's highly anticipated opening night party on August 28.

A versatile musician who incorporates everything from techno and blues to alternative and rock, Moby continues MAGIC's long-standing opening night tradition of music and entertainment.

Taking place at TAO Asian Bistro and Nightclub in the Venetian Hotel, proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Although he was born Richard Melville Hall, Moby obtained his infamous nickname because of his direct ancestry to Herman Melville, who wrote Moby Dick. In 1989, the Grammy-nominated artist signed his first record deal and within two years was at the top of the charts with hits like “We Are All Made of Stars” and “South Side” featuring Gwen Stefani.

Moby spends as much time on stage as he does off, supporting various environmental and animal-rights causes. Sponsors for the MAGIC opening night event are Swarovski and The New York Times Style Magazine.

Opening night party tickets can be purchased by calling (218) 723-9792 or by logging onto website. Since MAGIC's opening night party became a philanthropic event in 2002, MAGIC attendees have helped to raise more than $800,000 for children's charities.

MAGIC will immediately follow its opening night event with an invitation-only second night party when She WantsRevenge performs at JET Nightclub in the Mirage Hotel. She Wants Revenge was created by two men from the San Fernando Valley – lead singer Justin Warfield and musician Adam (Bravin) 12.
