PREIT procures Strawbridge & Clothier space for lease

In downtown Philadelphia, Federated Department Stores has sold the space that once housed the flagship Strawbridge and Clothier store to Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, a large retail firm.
Federated decided to eliminate the Strawbridge brand, closing some stores and converting others into Macy's stores.
Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust has been talking with several retailers who might lease the Strawbridge space.
