TMAG & R&A extend agreement for new Claret Jug apparel range

adidas Golf (TMAG) is to work with The R&A, organizer of The Open Championship, in developing the new Claret Jug apparel range. The agreement extends through 2011 and was signed this week at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake, England.

Established over the last three years as "Preferred Apparel Supplier to The Open Championship," adidas Golf, under the new agreement, will work with The R&A to build a year-round customer base for Claret Jug apparel in approved outlets.

Using the Claret Jug and the storied history of The Open Championship as inspiration, adidas Golf created a special apparel range for 2006 called the Claret Jug Collection. Introduced in May, it can be seen and purchased at opengolf.com.

Each piece is subtly crested with an image of the Claret Jug. The Collection is targeted at golfers who love golf's rich history and traditions and who appreciate fine apparel.
