The 2006 Casual Male Retail Group Survey, based on a large national sample of customers located throughout the country, evaluates today's perception of the big & tall demographic, big & tall retailers, the shopping habits of big & tall men, and demonstrates the power of this rising niche in the world of men's fashion and retail.
The new Casual Male XL logo, which features the colors navy blue and orange, insinuates more of a chic, designer feel and was hailed by focus groups as "upscale" and of "higher quality."
Casual Male shoppers have already responded positively to the new brand as it rolled out nationwide. The new branding has helped fuel record sales figures for the second quarter of 2006 for CMRG.
"The newer, contemporary signs are a better representation of the brand," stated Ric Della Bernarda, Sr. VP of Marketing at Casual Male.
In addition to the completion of rebranding all Casual Male stores, the company's web address has changed from http://www.casualmale.com/ to http://www.casualmalexl.com/.
A testament to men's increasing interest in apparel, the CMRG survey also shows that 77.3 percent of the big & tall respondents think that finding fashionable clothing that fits and helps them look and feel good about themselves is very important, yet an interesting 56 percent say that the sizing options available at regular department stores and general retail outlets are limited, while 41.7 percent take it one step further, saying that their options are non-existent.
