Now in its fourth year at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Cosmoprof North America has become the single most important forum for beauty companies and professionals in or entering the North American market.
The event, held July 16-18, brought 675 exhibiting companies and more than 25,000 attendees including importers, distributors global beauty leaders all under one roof to learn about the cutting-edge in cosmetics, wellness, spa, hair care, skin care, nails, product development and packaging from every corner of the globe.
The International Buyer Program, a Cosmoprof exclusive, unites buyers and sellers around the world with the resources, contacts and data to build business. In conjunction with governmental entities and trade associations, companies who wouldn't otherwise be able to attend the show can now have a show presence.
Setting itself apart as an educational forum where companies can grow their sales and knowledge at the same time, this year's show offered more than fifty classes.
Education highlights included the Wellness Keynote, given by Dr. Joe Dispenza — whose work was recently featured in the movie “What the Bleep do We Know?!”, nationally known marketing expert Larry Gulko on “7 Powerful Strategies to Break Through the Marketing Clutter and Drive Brand Preference”, Karen Post, the “Branding Diva” and Fast Company columnist on how beauty professionals can master brand building, develop the courage to break the mold, and discover ways to enlist customers and others as “brand ambassadors,” and Professor Andrew Razeghi on how leaders control outcomes in moments of uncertainty.
“Beauty is an increasingly international business,” said Laura Zaccagnini, Executive Director of International Affairs for SoGeCos, the company that oversees Cosmoprof worldwide. “One reason we are able to bring so many of the benefits of our experience in the global marketplace to this North American show is because we have been serving the international beauty community for over forty years.”
