Carmichael House is all set to launch 24 new outlets throughout the country by the end of this month, to raise the number of total stores to 32, 30 percent of which will be own and rest will be franchise stores.
S Kumars home textile brand that was introduced in August, registered sales worth Rs30 crore and targets to achieve Rs100 crores by the end this fiscal year.
Tarun Joshi, communications custodian of S Kumars Nationwide Ltd & CEO of Brandhouse Retails Ltd, explained, “We feel we need to increase capacity in the face of demand. We are, therefore, setting up a manufacturing plant in Gujarat by mid-2007 with an investment of Rs 450 crore. Post-expansion, the plant would manufacture 30 million metres annually of primarily home textiles like bed linen, bath linen, table and kitchen linen, curtains and upholstery.”
