It's become a holiday tradition …. each year, Swarovski unveils a specially-designed star adorned with thousands of crystals for the Rockefeller Center Holiday tree. However, this year, a unique twist is being added.
For the first time ever, celebrity-designed, crystal encrusted miniature stars will also be unveiled. Decorated by Hollywood celebrities Tyra Banks, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Paris Hilton, Maria Menounos, Brooke Shields, and Robin McGraw, wife of Dr. Phil McGraw, these stars will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation.
This non-profit organisation is dedicated to transforming the lives of seriously ill children and their families.
Said actress and on-air personality Maria Menounos: “I am excited to be working with Swarovski and Starlight Starbright this holiday season because I so admire how they bring smiles and laughter to children and families challenged by illness.“

Each of the celebrity-designed star creations shown in the slideshow will be auctioned on eBay from November 8 to 15. 100% of the auction proceeds will be donated. Should you wish to participate in the chance to own one of these unique creations.
Swarovski will also donate USD 200'000 from sales of the Christmas Ornament, Annual Edition 2006, to Starlight Starbright. This will bring the company a cumulative donation of over USD 350'000.
