U2 singer Bono's wife inaugurated her collection of organic, sweatshop-free apparel named 'Edun' in the previous spring, but such clothes lack excitement. People keep buying leather without thinking even once what consequences the leather business brings to the rainforests.
But now a person can be fashionable and preserve the environment at the same time while buying footwear, due to efforts of ex Silicon Valley executives Lauren Carroll and Jodi Koskella. They did branding, marketing and launched products for high-tech companies before, but recently they initiated their own brand called Charmone Shoes.
This name gives mixed feelings of charm and eco-friendliness, hence it is fitting for Lauren and Jodi's brand of ladies footwear which are non-leather and sweatshop-free.
Their shoes are manufactured from PVC-free micro fibers resembling leather. Wildflower Collection features sculpted wedge heels, whereas the brighter Spice Collection is adorned by romantic ruffles and plush velvets.
Charmone range has been a big hit and customers are placing orders in advance, as they are gradually becoming socially conscious.
