Saks Incorporated announced it intends to close its 25,000 square foot Saks Off 5th store located in St. Louis Mills in St. Louis, Missouri by February 1, 2007.
Approximately 20 associates are employed in the St. Louis Off 5th store. All affected associates either will be offered transfer opportunities or will receive appropriate severance packages.
Suzanne Johnson, President of Off 5th, noted, "Although a difficult decision to make, this is the right business decision. We are very appreciative of the St. Louis store team, and we are committed to providing needed assistance to our associates during this period."
