"Hollywould has the potential to expand across major product categories and worldwide markets to be one of the next lifestyle luxe brands. We are very excited to partner with Holly and her team to grow the business and provide our customers with a new fashion offering. The Hollywould acquisition augments our strategy to expand our marketing-focused portfolio with higher profile, upscale brands," added Skinner.
"I am thrilled to have a partner like Kellwood who will enable us to build HOLLYWOULD into a global lifestyle brand. When choosing a partner we wanted someone who understood our vision as Kellwood does, and who also had the financial means to support our growth on a scale large enough to be competitive with the mega brands. Kellwood's sheer size speaks for itself, and we look forward to building HOLLYWOULD with them," commented Dunlap.
Based in New York City, Dunlap and her team will continue to lead the novel Hollywould business, which will operate as a stand-alone unit within the Kellwood family of brands. Positioned at accessible designer price points, the HOLLYWOULD collection is sold through Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, specialty stores, and its own boutiques in New York and Palm Beach.
