TAG Heuer's new exclusive optical collection

TAG Heuer Eyewear has announced the release of an exclusive optical collection: the L-Type is crafted with exotic leathers and F1 racing-inspired materials. To highlight the exclusive L-Type collection, two limited-edition L-Type sunglasses, dubbed the LS sunglasses, will be made available in early 2007.

All of the eyewear maker's products are designed to capture the feel of TAG Heuer's high-end sports watches and chronographs. The L-Type goes even farther, using the exotic materials and manufacturing expertise found in the brand's most exclusive watchbands.

The men's version of the limited edition sunglasses features auto-adjustable platinum-finished temples and arms covered with genuine alligator skin, built in a sandwich configuration over a lightweight, high-grip elastomer-coated core. The women's version features python skin arms, set with 23 diamonds in each temple.

The L-Type optical line is crafted to the same standards as the limited edition sunglasses, and consists of six rimless lens shapes and two temple treatments: a brushed platinum finish or an anthracite ceramic PVD coating.

Alligator and calfskin leathers in a variety of finishes and colors are mated with a choice of six elastomer colors for the most distinctive eyewear available today. No ordinary rubber, the hypoallergenic elastomer was developed with the same technology used to create tires for F1 racing, and it plays a key role in maximizing flexibility, comfort and fit.

Every pair is discretely engraved with a unique serial number inside the arm. L-Type eyewear is presented in a hard leather case, along with an identification card that carries the owner's name, the serial number, date of purchase and a two-year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
