The MAGIC Marketplace continues to take significant strides in the fashion world with exceptional footwear growth. At February's event, more than 500 footwear resources will show throughout the Marketplace, demonstrating a 94% increase in exhibiting footwear brands since the February 2004 show.
A significant factor influencing the growth of footwear at the MAGIC Marketplace has been the intense focus on merchandising. Footwear brands are features within their corresponding categories adjacent to fashion lifestyle brands. This focus on merchandising provides a more comprehensive experience for buyers.
“The response to MAGIC's unique footwear positioning has been overwhelming. It has given the show a strong competitive edge in the marketplace,” said Chris McCabe, vice president and general manager, MAGIC International.
“As footwear brands continue to look for additional distribution channels and markets, this product category will continue to grow at MAGIC. Our show offers access to buyers that do not typically attend traditional footwear-only shows. We're pleased to provide this great connection between footwear brands and new buyers.”
