Kimberly-Clark announces 8.2% dividend increase

Kimberly-Clark Corporation said its board of directors has approved a dividend increase of 8.2 percent. This will bring the quarterly dividend to 53 cents per share, up from 49 cents per share in 2006.

The board of directors declared the dividend payable on April 3, 2007, to stockholders of record on March 9, 2007. This is the 35th consecutive year Kimberly-Clark has raised its dividend.

"We continue to run our business in a financially disciplined manner and today's announcement reflects K-C's solid balance sheet and confidence in our ability to generate strong cash flow," said Thomas J. Falk, chairman and chief executive officer.

"This increase is in line with our long-term business plan objectives and, in terms of dividend payout, maintains our top-tier ranking among consumer packaged goods companies."
