Target to extend agreement for Cherokee brand thru Jan 2009

Cherokee Inc, a leading licensor and global brand management company, announced that Target Corporation has exercised their option to extend their agreement for the Cherokee brand through January 2009.
Robert Margolis, Chairman and CEO of Cherokee Inc, stated, "Since 1973, Cherokee has evolved to become one of the world's largest family brands known for comfort, quality and Americana style. We are most fortunate to have Target, America's premier retailer, as our partner in the United States."

Cherokee Inc, based in Van Nuys, is a marketer, licensor and manager of a variety of brands it owns (Cherokee, Sideout, Carole Little and others) and a consultant to brands it represents. Currently, Cherokee Inc has licensing agreements in a number of categories, including family apparel, fashion accessories and footwear, as well as home furnishings and recreational products.
