Gander Mountain Company announced three more stores opening this spring. The outdoor lifestyle retailer plans to open stores in St. Augustine, Florida; Fayetteville, North Carolina; and College Station, Texas, before the end of June. These openings follow the opening of Gander Mountain's newest store in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, on March 31.

The company plans to open nine more stores in the fall of 2007. Opening dates and locations of those stores have not been announced. Gander Mountain currently has 105 stores in 22 states, the largest network of stores devoted to hunting, fishing, camping, boating and outdoor lifestyle products and services.

All new stores opened by Gander Mountain will be in excess of 60,000 square feet and will offer a wide variety of cutting-edge gear designed for the outdoors, with an emphasis on regional preferences and knowledge.

Tracker Marine boat brands are a major attraction of the new stores along with ATVs and power sports services. Gander Mountain stores feature on-site gunsmithing, archery lanes and service, line winding and reel set-up, and bait shops that open early for morning fishing needs.

In addition to outdoor products and services, each of the new stores will feature the Gander Mountain Lodge, a meeting room provided free of charge for meetings of local outdoor and civic groups. Gander Mountain also provides educational courses for outdoor enthusiasts in the Lodge. The company offers more hunter safety programs, through its Lodges, than any other outdoor retailer.

"We are excited about having more new stores in southern markets," said Mark Baker, president and CEO of Gander Mountain. "We've been very pleased by the success of the stores we opened last year in Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Virginia, and Alabama. We're looking forward to building great relationships with the outdoor enthusiasts in these new southern communities in 2007."
