Sag Harbor sportswear hosts Mother's Day event in Memphis

Sag Harbor sportswear hosted a Mother's Day brunch at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. on Tuesday, as part of their continued support of the world's premier pediatric cancer research center.

During the event, Sag Harbor presented St. Jude with a check in the amount of $200,000 which represents a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Sag Harbor's holiday 2006 cable sweater collection to support the St. Jude 2006 Thanks and Giving campaign.

Mothers and female caregivers of St. Jude patients attending the brunch received Sag Harbor sweaters and a handbag from the spring 2007 collection, as well as other accessories from the division.

While the St. Jude mothers were being pampered by Sag Harbor, the young patients created Mother's Day cards to honor the women in their lives who encourage them during their treatments at St. Jude.

"Sag Harbor is proud to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital," said Paul Robb, Lifestyle Design Group chief executive officer.

"Their pioneering work to find cures and save children who are fighting cancer and other catastrophic diseases is profoundly inspiring. Through our marketing efforts we found that our associates, retail partners and consumers care deeply about this cause, and we look forward to participating in the St. Jude 2007 Thanks and Giving campaign."

The holiday sweaters were marketed with hangtags, indicating Sag Harbor's commitment to guarantee a minimum donation of $200,000 to the St. Jude 2006 Thanks and Giving campaign.

Sag Harbor's holiday national ad campaign featured Christie Brinkley wearing the St. Jude sweaters.
