NexCen hires Richard L. Platt Jr. as President of Waverly brand

NexCen Brands Inc announced that it has named Richard L. Platt Jr., President of the Waverly brand and NexCen's home division. NexCen completed its acquisition of Waverly, one of the most-recognized names in home furnishings, last week.
Mr. Platt comes to NexCen from Official Pillowtex, LLC, where he served as managing director and was responsible for brand direction and merchandising strategy for brands including Cannon, Fieldcrest, Royal Velvet, Charisma, Bugle Boy and Delia's. He has also served as senior director of retail sales and marketing for National Football League Properties, the NFL's $3 billion consumer products division.
