True Religion Apparel Inc announced the signing of a lease agreement to open a branded True Religion store in the San Francisco Centre.
The 1,146 square-foot store is scheduled to open in Spring 2008 and will offer customers the entire collection of True Religion apparel, including the expanding line of denim, denim-related sportswear and its entire collection of licensed products.
“We have had our eye on bringing a new store to The City and are especially pleased to announce this location in the San Francisco Centre,” said Jeffrey Lubell, chairman and chief executive officer.
“As the largest urban shopping center west of the Mississippi, the San Francisco Centre is a unique retail experience showcasing all that is contemporary and sophisticated for luxury casual apparel and will undoubtedly ensure more exposure for True Religion as we continue to grow our brand.”
“This new lease agreement marks the announcement of our 19th True Religion branded store to date,” said Michael Buckley, president.
“With the San Francisco Centre attracting more than 25 million visitors annually and sales in excess of $600 million, it's the ideal retail environment for us to continue our strategy of targeting key shopping destinations in the highest performing geographic regions in the country.”
Recently completing a major re-development bringing the Centre to approximately 1.5 million square feet, the shopping center is anchored by Nordstrom and the second largest Bloomingdale's in the country and a state-of-the-art nine-screen theater.
The Centre is located in the Union Square shopping district and adjacent to the contemporary South of Market (SOMA) district and Yerba Buena, the city's burgeoning cultural corridor.
The True Religion store will operate alongside retailers such as Coach, Juicy Couture, BCBG Maxazria, Benetton, Guess and Hugo Boss.
