Finish Line & Genesco announce end of waiting period

The Finish Line Inc and Genesco Inc announced that the Federal Trade Commission has granted early termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, in connection with the companies' pending combination.
The transaction remains subject to approval by Genesco shareholders and the satisfaction of closing conditions as set forth in the merger agreement. As previously announced, the transaction is expected to close in the Fall of 2007.
Genesco In a Nashville-based specialty retailer, sells footwear, headwear and accessories in more than 2,050 retail stores in the United States and Canada.
The Finish Line Inc is one of the largest mall-based specialty retailers operating under the Finish Line, Man Alive and Paiva brand names.
