LCF’s Director of Business and Management and Course Leader of MA Strategic Fashion Marketing, Lynne Hammond, will speak at Cholo Kheli, a fundraising event for the victims of the devastating Rana Plaza Factory collapse which happened in Bangladesh earlier this year.

Lynne will sit on the panel to discuss a way forward for the fashion design sector in Bangladesh and to ask how ethical and sustainable practices can be embedded into manufacture and production.

As well as the panel discussion, chaired by the Honourable Mrs Naeema Quayes and including the Ethical Fashion Forum, there will be a screening of The Rainbow Collective’s “The Machinist”.

Following the lives of ordinary garment workers in Dhaka, the film is being shown at a series of events to raise money to provide at least 1 month’s salary to families of factory collapse victims through Bangladesh’s National Garment Workers Federation.

Cholo Kheli will take place at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road, London E1. All funds raised will go to support victims of the Rana Factory collapse and their families.
