Mohali now can boast a state-of-the-art Business School of Fashion, where innovative designing methods can be developed, with the fusion of Indian concepts and foreign techniques. This will be a low-cost production center for the textile and garment industry. Leading fashion designers from India and abroad will be hired.

The Business School of Fashion will organise its second Fashion Knowledge Forum next week where distinguished speakers across the globe and India from the fashion and textile industry will be invited to share information on upcoming trends and technologies in the industry.

The two-day event will highlight the strengths, weaknesses and prospects of the Indian textile industry on the global platform.

The fashion school has started teaming up with artisans, weavers, and embroiders of the northern part of India to showcase their products to the overseas designers, who are going to set their foot in the Fashion Technology Park.

This would be a first time ever effort to provide design support to textile manufacturers in the country.
