A project of fashion design workshop and also a competition offering places on a UK fashion course is being organized by the British Council. Applications are invited from the Bahraini or British citizens who are interested in a fashion career.
Bahraini designer Wafeeq Sulaibikh is also included in the project.
A team of one Bahraini and one British participant will be made. They are required to design and produce two outfits per group.
This project will enable the youth to exchange their cultures and experience with one another. There is also an opportunity to obtain guidance from world-class professionals of the fashion world.
Special guests from the fashion industry will be judging their designs. The final outfits will be showcased at a fashion show early next year.
The winning team will be invited to attend a summer fashion course in the UK.
