Miss Texas & Miss Teen Texas Pageants being held on July 5

The Miss Texas Organization announced the date for the 2008 Miss Texas Scholarship and Miss Teen Texas Pageants.

As in years past, the pageants will be held on the same night.

This year's pageants are being held July 5, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at the Will Rogers Memorial Center Theater in Fort Worth.

The winner of the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant will receive a $10,000.00 scholarship to the college or university of her choice.

The winner of the Miss Teen Texas Scholarship Pageant will receive $4,000.00 in U.S. Savings Bonds.

The winner of the Miss Texas title will go on to participate in the nationally televised Miss America Pageant in January.

The Miss America Organization is the largest source for scholarship assistance for women in the world.
