Kudumbashree is the women empowerment programme of the State Poverty Eradication Mission. State forests minister K Raju will inaugurate the apparel park on February 1.

The park will take orders from other sellers, but Kudumbashree will also make its own brand of clothes, according to a top newspaper in Kerala.
Fifty women will work at the centre in the first phase. Machinery worth ₹50 lakh have been installed.
A six-member-committee will supervise and run the apparel park.
