Italian luxury fashion brand Gucci has replaced Spanish fashion brand Balenciaga on the top spot of the Lyst Index’s hottest fashion brand list for the second quarter of this year. Both of Demna Gvasalia’s labels – Balenciaga and Vetements – have slipped a couple of places. Italian streetwear and luxury label Off-White has grabbed the second spot on it.
The Royal Wedding in May has propelled French luxury fashion brand Givenchy into the top 5 on the list. Vetements takes the next spot and is closely followed by Versace, which has gone up 14 places from the previous quarter. Fendi, which is tapping into the logomania craze, is the eighth hottest fashion brand as per the Lyst Index.
Nike has climbed an impressive 11 places to secure the only sportswear spot in the Index and the tenth position has been taken by Italian brand Prada that is reinventing black nylon items for its new men’s collection. (KD)
