Victoria Cooper director of online store pretaportobello.com commented “Our buying decisions have definitely moved towards more in-season buying and less forward ordering, which is why we love working with emerging independent designers - they are far more flexible and we can work closely with them to respond rapidly to changing customer demand and micro trends.”

To help buyers source new niche brands, Spirit Young Fashion will present Launch at Spirit, a dedicated area for designers looking to launch in the UK market. Visitors will have the chance to source exciting brands to set them apart from the rest of the high street.

Designers confirmed to be showing include Salty Philip, Love Cole, Rock n Needle, The York Waistcoat Company, Johari, Mordinary and Me & Zena.

Salty Philip creates fashion with the idea of reducing the negative impact that conventional fabric production has on the environment. Organic, sustainable or recycled fabric is used to make contemporary clothing. Smart and minimalist designs with bright block colours are seen throughout the collection.

The Yorkshire Waistcoat Company creates a range of individually designed, handmade, quirky one-off waistcoats. Using a mix of fabrics from tweed to linen and silk with vintage detail and reclaimed touches.

After a great success last season, Stitch, the UK's dedicated menswear and accessory trade show, will co-locate once again with Spirit Young Fashion at Earls Court 2. Brands such as Pretty Green, Original Penguin, Nicholas Deakins, Superga, Weekend Offender, Peter Werth, Duck and Cover, Silas, Trikki and Stone Dri will all be showing their latest collections.

Tattoo Superstar Louis Molloy, star of TV programme London Ink and tattooist to A-listers including David Beckham, will be at the event working from a specialist tattoo studio. His clothing line brand Lou Molloy will be showing adding to the bustling line up of high quality menswear clothing brands.

'Vision' is an exciting developmental area of Stitch that is dedicated to new and emerging designers. It was conceived as a creative platform, offering young designers the opportunity to interact with international and high-end buyers and press.

'Vision' will present the very best in home-grown and international talent, managed by a panel of experts including Central Saint Martins' Hywel Davies and Louise Wilson. Brands include Forgotten Future and Genevieve Sweeney.
