Esmod: 21 design schools in 14 countries
Esmod was founded in 1841 by Guerre Lavigne, master tailor and purveyor to the court of Empress Eugénie. With a unique teaching method – making patterns directly on the “Lavigne bust” – he laid the cornerstone for a successful teaching system that is still used today in a network of 21 design schools in 14 countries.

Every year, around 1,000 students from 50 countries start their studies there, following a tough selection process. Many prominent fashion designers such as Fifi Chachnil, Dévastéé, Dice Kayek, Catherine Malandrino, Franck Sorbier and Alexandre Vauthier have honed their skills at Esmod.

Messe Frankfurt is Germany's leading trade fair organiser, with 448.3 million euros in sales and more than 1,600 active employees worldwide. The Messe Frankfurt Group has a global network of 28 subsidiaries, five branch offices and 52 international Sales Partners, giving it a presence for its customers in more than 150 countries.
