Any prize given by the decision of the International Jury gathered in San José cannot be appealed against.
The prizes will be:
1. First prize: $500.00 for the best art piece of the show, this is not an acquisition prize. This piece will be shown as the cover photograph of the catalogue of the V Biennial in 2008. The artists will also be invited to participate in the V Biennial as guest artists.
2. Second prize: $300.00
3. Third prize: $200.00
4. The best photograph of the textile art works presented among the chosen proposals will be published on the cover of the catalogue of the IV Biennial in 2006. This piece may win other prizes too.
5. Five honourable mentions will also be granted.
The Head of Organization WTA, Ms. Pilar Tobón, as well as Ms. Paulina Ortiz - International Coordinator of the IV Biennale WTA, will participate in their own individual capacities as showing artists in this Biennale Exhibition but, they have waived their right to compete for prices and thus will not be allowed to receive any of the prizes which will be awarded to the remaining participating artists.
The Organization WTA has reserved the right to publish those pictures that it may deem convenient for the Biennale's journalistic, promoting and advertising purposes.
The Organization will also give each of the participating artists full color catalogue . At the end of the exhibition each couple of artists may donate their work to the Organization WTA, and in turn the benefits that donating couples couple will receive will be as follows:
