Four talented Polish designers will be presenting their latest creative ideas. The presentation will be based on a fruitful joint venture with the Polish Fashion Week in Lódz, launched together with the IGEDO Company in February 2011.

CPD SIGNATURES at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre (4-6 February 2012) will give these creative talents an opportunity to establish themselves in the German market and to gain a foothold with their labels.

Surrounded by exciting design and premium collections in Fashion Hall 13, the innovative approach of the STYLE PROJECT will develop its full potential. Each day their collections will also be presented to retailers on stage, in a live fashion show.

After graduating in fashion design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lódz, Aleksandra Kmiecik immediately made a name for herself when she staged her own show at the Polish Fashion Week. Her designs are marked by comfort and simplicity, with silhouettes that are reminiscent of geometric shapes and architectural exactness. Also, she loves playing with colour contrasts as a way of creating an interesting mixture of simple classicism and various aspects of modernity.

Anna Dudzinska from Krakow is known for a style which she herself describes as avant-garde street style. In her collections she plays with contrasts such as construction and deconstruction, old and new, beautiful and ugly. In doing so, she lets herself be inspired by modern architecture and contemporary interior design. Her current collection – called ARCH.TEKT.ONIK – is a combination of architecture as a new creation and recycling as a way of recovering the old: futuristic shapes alongside classic cuts.

The designer Michael Hekmat pursues a sophisticated objective with his collection, which is reminiscent of prêt-à-porter fashion. His limited edition is aimed at modern, fashion-conscious women who appreciate art and who take their cue from a contemporary design philosophy. What makes his collections so unique is his intellectual curiosity in matters of innovation and research. He loves experimenting with materials and dyeing processes and thus creating something totally new. Michael Hekmat has worked for designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Proenza Schouler and Giambattista Valli and has developed a totally new style for his own collections.

Milita Nikonorov's vision is to express femininity through modern cuts and qualitative materials. Her new collection B(L)ACK TO FUTURE has been inspired by past fashions and by futuristic aspirations, combining modern fabrics and cuts with romantic elements and embellishments. Silk, wool and cotton can be found alongside latex-like Jersey sequins. The focus colour is a timeless black, and the key pieces are skirts and trousers in combination with long woolly jumpers.

The Polish Fashion Day will be held in the Catwalk Area in Fashion Hall 13 on Sunday at 4.30 pm. One of Poland's best-known fashion designers, Natalia Jaroszewska, will be giving live presentations of her latest creative ideas. She has described her style as 200% feminine. Whenever she designs an outfit for a customer, she sets specific accents which reflect that customer's individuality, while also designing jewellery and silk bags. Her collection, which will be presented live on the catwalk, is inspired by a vibrant folklore style.
