CLE to organize Investment Promotion Programme in Brazil

In a move to earn Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) and promote Joint Ventures, Technical Collaborations, marketing tie-ups in Indian leather industry, Council for Leather Exports (CLE) is going to organize an Investment Promotion Programme from February 15 – 18, 2006 in Brazil.
Under the Intechmart scheme of the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the Council proposes to organize a Road Show. The show starts from today and ends on January 12, 2006.
A delegation comprising 7 – 8 manufacturers of leather, footwear and footwear components would visit Brazil to show Brazilian Entrepreneurs the potential Indian counterparts can offer regarding presence of quality manufacturing facilities, availability of raw material and skilled labour at competitive wage levels etc.
The delegation would also offer attractive FDIs for foreign investments, thus it is an investment promotion programme.
According to the Brazilian Trade Associations, the Indian Delegation's programmes would be held in Brazil during February 15-18, 2006.
