For the very first time in the history of the festival, sustainable development was honoured with the prize for ethical fashion and a conference on the subject which was held at the Dinard town hall. It was moderated by Marithé Bachellerie, Muriel de Lamarzelle, Director of Communications for the Marithé+François Girbaud label, Isabelle Quéhé and Michael Scherpe.

Isabelle Quéhé explained the fundamental principles of ethical fashion and the consequences for society. As for Marithé Bachellerie, she highlighted their involvement for over twenty years in research into reducing the environmental impact of denim treatments, a speciality of their label. The audience, attending in large numbers, was composed of professionals from fashion and textiles, journalists, representatives from the local community and individuals who are interested in responsible fashion.
