Fashion House appoints Oscar E Valencia as President

Valencia was also president of Havana Joe and executive vice president of Tommy Hilfiger, where he was responsible for men's, women's and children's shoes.

Throughout her seven years at the May Company, Fleisher developed the private label program for the Company's Better footwear division, growing the division into a $125 million business.

Under Fleisher's direction the Better Footwear program expanded 65 percent by establishing sales and distribution channels in Asia, Brazil and Europe.

More recently, Fleisher spent five years at Etienne Aigner, where she worked as the vice president of the company's footwear division.

Hanna continued, "They have built an impressive executive team to develop and sell Bill Blass footwear.

Along with Dan Amado as the senior vice president and creative director of the Bill Blass lines of footwear, these seasoned executives will translate the timeless American style of the modern, sophisticated and tailored line of clothing into what they expect to be a tremendously successful line of footwear."

Blass by Bill Blass will launch its debut collection for fall, 2006 in February at the World Shoe Association show in Las Vegas.

Valencia and Fleisher will oversee branding and positioning of the lines and will work closely with regional sales managers and the CEO to launch and market the new brand and its pedigree.

Founded in 1970 by William Ralph Blass, Bill Blass designs are known as refined and tailored.
