Ethical Textiles and Manufacturing Practices Seminar with Tara Sawatsky from Canopy, October 19, 2:00 pm
Canopy is an award winning environmental not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting the world’s forests, species and climate. Increasingly, virgin forests around the world are being processed to make an array of fabrics. Canopy works with hundreds of the forest industry’s consumers, including designers and major clothing brands, to help shape their purchasing policies for a variety of forest products, and provide them with the knowledge they need to meet their business goals and protect our forests in the process.

Atlier B.Fashion Show,October 18, 6:00 pm
One of five Quebec designers being featured at Eco Fashion Week, Atelier B. was an idea conceived by Catherine Métivier and Anne-Marie Laflamme. Bringing a new-found sense of fun to the workshop, the designers have a philosophy of ethical production and are continually moving forward with their research and innovation. Inspired by industrial design and production, each piece is simple and minimalist. With their high quality and subtle design, the collections are intended to be timeless.
