Venice, California based maker of handcrafted jewelry designs Dogeared Jewels & Gifts announced that it is celebrating another record breaking year.

Fiscal year 2005 sales are up a dramatic 38 percent, surpassing all projections. Each piece carries a bit of the Dogeared magic that empowers the individual spirit.

These pieces express the company mantra of "...putting positive energy into the world everyday."

Dogeared attributes this growth to a combination of factors, including the continued popularity of the best selling Make a Wish line and the tremendous trade response at the New York Accessorie Circuit and the AmericasMart Atlanta International Gift Market trade shows.

New custom castings, and a price point that the retailer and consumer is seeking in quality, trend jewels -- along with such retail partners as Red Envelope, Sundance, Macy's Herald Square, Fred Segal and Intuition -- added to the success.

"This year, Dogeared had the opportunity to work with two important organizations for the first time: Heal the Bay and The Make a Wish Foundation," stated designer and founder Marcia Maizel-Clarke.

"They felt honored to provide custom jewels that aided in their fundraising campaigns. This type of contribution and involvement is critical to their definition of success."

Dogeared Jewels & Gifts is comprised of four product lines: Words, Wishes & Jewels, Gifts, and Trends. While all four participated in thecompany's explosive growth, the overall best seller was again the Make a Wish line of carded jewels.
