The appointment of Rajesh Pratap Singh as the first official wool Ambassador for India confirms the commitment of The Woolmark Company in favour of talent and creativity. As the global authority on Merino wool, The Woolmark Company is pleased to support such a promising fashion designer, from a blooming and dynamic market like India, to promote wool as a luxury fiber across the world.

Coming from Rajasthan, Rajesh Pratap Singh has shaped through the years a recognizable signature style, inspired by Indian aesthetics. His magnificent creations stand unmatched, due to their faultlessly clean lines, tailoring details and contemporary silhouettes, appealing for an International audience. The Autumn Winter 2013 collection, that Rajesh Pratap Singh will present during the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, is a tribute to the rural Indian culture, taking inspiration from the traditional tailoring of the past, reinvented with a modern twist. The collection exploits the versatility of Merino, including tweeds, knits and felted wool, all combined to present a tailored style, animated by unexpected contrasts, as structural pieces like men’s blazers are teamed with sheer dhotis.
