Maker and exporter of Bertini brand shoes, Worldwide Leather Exports Ltd (WLEL), plans to launch its brand in India through a chain of 100 stores in the coming two years.
The company's target is to sell around 60,000 pairs a year after expanding its manufacturing facility in Gurgaon from 1,000 pairs a day at present to 1600 pair shortly.
The Bertini brand shoes have already made it to Shoppers' Stop shelves in Mumbai, Bangalore and in a couple of malls in Delhi.
WLEL plans wider presence in these cities and others, including Kolkata, informed a company official.
