Zegna to produce luxury menswear & footwear for Tom Ford

The unique creativity and marketing sense of Tom, together with our Italian craftsmanship in top menswear will create an exclusive niche in the men's luxury market.

The alliance with Zegna Group is the third venture since Ford and De Sole announced the launch of the Tom Ford brand last year.

In April 2005 Ford signed a licensing deal with Estée Lauder to produce a fragrance and beauty collection which debuted in November 2005. The stand alone Tom Ford beauty brand is slated to launch in fall 2006 with a signature fragrance.

Ford also partnered with Marcolin Group, a global leader in the eyewear industry, to produce and distribute optical frames and sunglasses under the Tom Ford brand which are available in select prestige retail stores.

Ermenegildo Zegna Group makes high-end menswear and sportswear sold at more than 375 locations in about 35 countries. It also makes accessories such as ties and produces a line of clothing for Gucci.

Founded as a textile mill, the firm produces its own high-quality fabrics and supplies them to top designers and tailors. It has expanded by opening stores worldwide and offering products online.
