Off-Price seminars to aim fashion e-trading & retailers operation

Off-Price Specialist Center informs that the Off-Price Show is set to launch a series of seminars tackling key industry issues at the forthcoming March 2006 exhibition.

Introducing fieled experts including senior retailers, business consultants, solutions providers and trade bodies, the seminars will offer valuable information on running and expanding businesses.

Show Director, Buzz Carter said: “The seminars will be aimed at smaller fashion retailers operating anything between one and half a dozen stores.”

“The Off-Price Show has seen phenomenal growth since its inception and now sits at the heart of the discount fashion industry. We really want to give something back to our exhibitors and buyers and offer them access to information on subjects such as e-trading, fraud and business development all under one roof.”

The free seminars will run across the two day event and tackle subjects including:
- E-Trading – The session will examine the benefits and pitfalls of e-trading.

- Fashion theft and security – According to the British Retail Consortium, criminal activity cost UK retailers £2.2bn last year. This seminar looks at new developments in combating retail fraud, dealing with loss prevention and emerging technology.

- Footwear – This discussion will consider the benefits of adding footwear to existing clothing ranges.

- Parallel importing – Looks at issues such as how you can be sure that arrangementsare above board, approved and legitimate plus how to avoid counterfeit goods.
