Specialty retailer Zumiez reports record 52.9% rise in Feb sales

Leading specialty retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories, Zumiez Inc announced that total net sales for the four-week period ended February 25, 2006 increased 52.9 percent to $14.4 million, compared to $9.4 million for the four-week period ended February 26, 2005.
The company's comparable store sales increased 28.0 percent for the past month, versus a comparable store sales increase of 10.3 percent in the year ago period.
Zumiez is a leading specialty retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories.
Their stores cater to young men and women between ages 12-24, focusing on skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, motocross and BMX. Company currently operates 174 stores.
