FDCI ropes Kingfisher as associate sponsor of India Fashion Week

Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and Percept D'Mark have announced 'Kingfisher' as associate sponsor for 'Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week' (WIFW), which is to be held at The Grand, New Delhi during April 5-9, 2006.

Dr Vijay Mallaya, Chairman, UB Group, told that his company has been partner with FDCI for the WIFW to place India on the global fashion platform.

Fashion week will have season collection mainly autumn-winter and spring-summer as per international formats.

Almost 80 designers will participate in the event, among them some well-known faces of Indian fashion world and a few upcoming designers called 'new faces going places' will present their talent.

As Fashion event goes bi-annual, fashion designers will get ample opportunities to show off their talents.

This time there will be two ramp to give wind to fierce competition where designers will showcase their pret (ready to wear) and diffusion (between ready-to-wear and couture) lines in Indian, Indo-Western and Western categories.
